I love photographing spirited families who want vibrant and lively portraits to adorn the walls of their homes.
I have loved browsing family albums as long as I can remember... just reminiscing about good times. I remember being a kid and asking for film for my camera for Christmas. I loved to take pictures of everything, because I wanted to remember everything. Not long after my son was born, I had taken a few snapshots of him, and my uncle who is graphic designer saw them and really talked me into perusing photography as more than just a hobby. I got my first professional camera in 2008. I have been photographing many years now, but officially opened my business in 2018.
Sadly, we lost everything we owned in the Great flood of 2016 and I lost my computer and all of the digital backups of photos I had taken of my children. The only ones I were able to save were the printed one I had in albums put up high. They were my most precious memories of my children and their baby books. In the digital world, not many people still print their photos, but after going through this experience I wholeheartedly believe that we should have physical & digital copies of our portraits.
I love being able to tell other people's stories- the successes, the celebrations, the milestones, and sometimes even the heartaches. My hope is that I can use my passion to touch someone else's life and give them a piece of time to look back on. I love the friendships I have made through my craft and also the opportunities I have had to serve my community.
I prefer to take a mix of posed and candid portraits so that the expressions and reactions captured or more genuine. My favorite sessions are those that are centered on mothers and families as I am a mother myself to four beautiful children. They are truly my heart & inspiration.
I also love creating beautiful Fine Art portraits that are one of a kind. I would love to work with you and be able to tell your story with beautiful photographs!

Next I will contact you within 24 hours to schedule an in person consultation (we can meet at a coffee shop, get brunch, I can come to your house, or we can even talk over zoom if that's more convenient.)
Then we will go over the details of your photography session, look at the product, talk about the investment, & more.
If everything sounds good to you, we will sign that contract and get you in the booked on the calendar!
Your Session
After your session, that's where most of my time is spent and the rest of the magic happens! I will edit and put the final finishing touches on your images and create your product. Please be patient as I want to take my time to make sure they are done right. I promise you will be pleased with the end result.
Gallery Reveal & Keepsake Ordering Appointment
After your photos are ready it's time for them to make their debut.
During this appointment we will get together to complete your package so you can choose your favorite photographs for high resolution prints, keepsake albums, canvases & other wall art.
Your selections are printed by a professional lab with the highest quality materials to guarantee your keepsakes will last for years to come.
I know you will love your heirloom products once they make it into your hands!

A non-refundable retainer of 50% of your photography session and completion of a signed contract is required to secure your session date. However, it is transferable to another date should you need to reschedule, if a notice is given 48 hours in advance.
