I'm Michelle. Photography has always been part of me.
I can still remember being a kid with a camera in hand, asking for film at Christmas, wanting to freeze everything around me because I knew how quickly moments slip away. The instinct to hold onto time never really changed.
I got my first professional camera in 2008, and over the years, what started as hobby and a way to document my children's milestones slowly became purpose. I officially opened my photography business in 2018, but storytelling was never something I learned...it was something I’ve always done.
I’m a visual learner, which is a big part of why photography means so much to me. It’s how I hold onto seasons of life, details, expressions, and feelings that might fade with time. It’s also why I love photographs so deeply; because they become anchors for memory. For me, photography is about emotion. Energy. The kind of moments you don’t realize you’ll miss until they’re gone.
As a mother to four children, I understand that even more now. Life is full, fast, and beautifully messy. And that’s exactly what draws me to family sessions the most; the real, unfiltered connection that exists in the middle of everything else.
Visually, I am drawn to bold color, movement, a touch of whimsy, and a balance of elegance and edge- images that feel alive, like stepping back into a memory instead of simply looking at one.
Over time, this work has become more than photography. It has become connection, trust, and the privilege of witnessing people in some of their most meaningful seasons.
If you’re here, you’re likely not just looking for photos. You’re looking for something that feels like truth. Something that lasts beyond the moment itself. That’s why I love to create.
Yours in light leaks and late night edits,
Hey friend, I’m better at telling stories with images than words, but I’ll try both here...

Chell is just a shortened version of my name...my late cousin gave me my nickname when we were kids and it stuck. My "government name" was already spoken for in the photography world so I opted to use my nickname.
